The Biggest Music Tours of 2018

One of the biggest parts of our business is music transport for live events. That’s why we at Stagefreight have decided to bring together some of the biggest music tours and events that 2018 has to offer.

It’s going to be a big year for music; is one of your favourite artists on the list? Read on to find out more…

The Script Goes on Tour

Irish rock band The Script burst onto the scene nine years ago with their hit songs ‘Breakeven’ and ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’. They’ve gone from strength to strength since then; each of their albums has hit the charts, and their music has appeared in EastEndersMade in Chelsea and The Vampire Diaries. Now they’re embarking on one of their most impressive music tours to a range of locations, including Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham and Belfast.

There are 56 separate dates running from the 2nd to the 24th of February, ensuring there’s one for everyone to attend. Buy tickets for your chosen show here.

Seal at the Manchester Apollo

Whether it’s ‘Kiss from a Rose’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘Crazy’ or something else entirely, a lot of us have a favourite Seal track. And it’s not hard to see why; the English singer-songwriter has three Brits and four Grammys under his belt. He’s also worked as a coach on Australia’s version of the Voice, but he’s coming home for this Manchester performance on Valentine’s Day.

Taking place at the O2 Apollo in Manchester, this show is sure to be filled with some of Seal’s most memorable (and romantic) songs. Book your tickets now.

Elbow at the O2 Arena

British band Elbow have long been a stalwart of the British music scene. Each of their albums have cracked the top 15 in the British album chart, and they’ve received both a Brit Award and Mercury prize for their efforts.

Their cover of the Beatles song ‘Golden Slumbers’ also featured in this year’s John Lewis advert. If you’re a longtime fan of the band (or just discovering them), you can see them at London’s O2 Arena.

Elbow’s shows balance both scale and intimacy, resulting in a show that’s totally unique. If you’re free on Wednesday the 7th of March, this show sounds like a great way to spend your time! For full details, click here.

Steps Returns to the Stage

People of a certain age will remember 90s pop band Steps all too well. With hits like ‘5,6,7,8’, ‘Tragedy’ and ‘Deeper Shade of Blue’, the quintet sold over 20 million records in their heyday. Steps broke up in 2001, before reuniting briefly in 2011. Now they’re back with a new album, and a new nationwide tour in honour of their 20th anniversary.

If you missed out on Steps’ music tours back in the day, now is a golden opportunity! The bulk of their 2018 dates are running through June from Ardingly to Yeovil, giving you plenty of chances to walk down memory lane. Visit the official Steps website to see the complete list of concert dates.

Bruno Mars at Hyde Park

With five Grammys, three Brits and over 130 million records sold, Bruno Mars is above and beyond your typical singer. Next year he’s performing live in Hyde Park, as part of the BST Hyde Park festival.

Attendees can look forward to an amazing visual production, and a setlist packed with his biggest songs. He’ll also be joined by special guest Khalid, who won the MTV’s Best New Artist award; his fans streamed his debut single over 700 million times across all platforms.

Interested parties should head over to Hyde Park’s Great Oak Stage on Saturday the 4th of July. Click here to book tickets.

As you can see there’s plenty to look forward to next year, and Stagefreight will be busy with plenty of its own music tours. With our experienced lead drivers, we can take control of the planning of trailer arrival, ensuring that the right trailer arrives at the right time. We’ll also plan the most cost and time-effective route to each event, saving you time and money in the process.
